On this section, you will find more information about our project's
technical and financial needs, but also our ambitions.
You can also find our user's tests, wireframes, mockups and some
additional resources.
Who we are:
PetAdventure is a booking service designed for travellers who don't want
to leave their pets behind during their holidays. We will suggest
itineraries for pet owners. It is a free service for users, where you
can book your next vacations.
It will provide all-inclusive services from plane booking to
accommodations, all this pet-friendly. We target a large amount of
customers as there are 63 millions of pets, only in France.
Our ambition is to make PetAdventure one of the leading online travel
agencies (OTAs) that offer planning resources and booking capabilities
for pet owners.
PetAdventure definition
What we need:
To be more performant, we decided to use an online booking platform. We
want to create our booking platfrom with Wix. We also intend to use the
Application Programming Interfaces (API) of our partners, such as
Airbnb, Tripadvisor and Airfrance. APIs are frequently used as a means
of accessing or distributing Open Data. Our partners have a lot of data
that would be very useful to us. Indeed, over the last few years, many
humanities researchers have started to share their data on the web with
APIs. As a result, there are a large number of valuable datasets
available. To make our website performant, we need to collect the
informations of our partners in their APIs. By accessing a wide range of
large datasets, we could ensure the attractivity of our website and its
rentability. For example we want to connect with
Airbnb's API
which would enable a real-time synchronization of our customer's booking
informations between Airbnb and PetAdventure.
Our revenues:
An advertising business model:
This revenue model is based on cost-per-click (CPC) advertisements that
are displayed on the website. TripAdvisor uses the advertising business
model as its predominant revenue stream. Advertisers pay TripAdvisor a
fee when users click on a link and go to the advertiser’s page from the
TripAdvisor website.
An agency business model:
The travel website acts as an intermediary between travelers and service
providers, charging a commission on each transaction. The majority of
Booking.com revenue comes from this business model. The company partners
with hotels and lets them list their properties on the website. We
decided to take 15% of comission on each booking of flight,
accomodation, activites.
Wireframe:
This wireframe represents the beginning of our application. It is the
result of our initial reflections on service and the shaping of its
value proposition.

Mockup:
This mockup represents our application as we want it to succeed. Sleek
designs, intuitive links, it is designed as a simple tool with a clear
scenario for its users.

User tests:
The first feedbacks about our application are encouraging! Our
testers were seduced by the platform and interested in this service
which they will use once completed!
